Colour blocking and Prints @ 13:20

001)        After a chilling week , I finally can do a little mini post before my 'Valentines special post'.  I'm planning to write the ' Valentines day special'  post on Monday for all you girlies who are unsure what to wear for your big night with your mystery date, boyfriend or night out with the girlies. Many of us can admit we've all hate that mini panic moment before a night out of thinking ' I have nothing to wear! ' Well i'm here to help you ! I'll be showing you all three different outfits which will flatter any body shape and is definitely on trend with of course a romantic twist!

                                    Leopard print dress-Primark , Coral oversized cardigan - H&M
                                                                     &  Black tights- New look.

 002)   Picking outfits to wear for the past few days hasn't been easy due to the change in temperature. Most of the Winter clothing I have left doesn't fit me anymore ( which is pretty annoying ) so I only had a few items of warm clothing to keep me going throughout this week.
I decided to go back to a classic Winter look which most of you girlies adore which is the classic prints ( leopard , zebra or snake print ) but with a Spring twist. I had this dress given to me by my friends mum as it was she didn't like it. The dress was from Primark (which has lots of bargains at the moment as their spring collection is really nice ). For a Spring twist  , I thought it would be nice to add a bit of colour to the natural coloured outfit ,by adding an over-sized pop coloured cardigan will make the classic grunge look more vibrant and feminine. Also the bonus of wearing bright colours such as 'coral'  you can easily incorporate your make up as well to the overall look by wearing bright lipstick or nail varnish which match the colour of the cardigan.  Shoes wise you can either wear loafers , chelsea boots or heels  . I'd advise wearing this outfit really as a night outfit as it's perfect to wear for a night out with the girlies or a dinner date with your boyfriend.

003)        I thought for a change i'd show you what i've done recently at work as well in store  (visual merchandising stuff) which will give you all some ideas how to work the bright jeans and monochrome trend.

 Look One

All the clothing can be found in store or online on the Republic website.

004)      This first  look is perfect for anyone who likes wearing jeans or is attracted to smart/casual trends .  As i've mentioned before bright coloured jeans and monochrome prints are big trend setters this Spring so adding a bit of bit of pop to your classic black and white outfits will definitely make you stand out of the crowd. This outfit can easily be changed into a night look by only just changing your accessories (e.g.  your shoes and your bag ) All these items are a great bargain  ( I have the monochrome print blouse) and it's very flattering on my body shape.

Look Two

All the clothing can be found in store or online on the Republic website.

005)        The second look is yet again has a tailored twist to the classic nautical Spring trend. I decided to mix and match another outfit by mixing tweed , chinos , nautical stripes and a cute navy nautical inspired playsuit  (similarly to how Gok Wan styles his clothing on his shows by creating so many looks with only a few items of clothing) . This look is perfect for all your girlies who want to add a bit more colour to your work outfits or are interested in putting a twist to the nautical and tailored trends. Also chinos unlike other trousers help flatter anyone who's bottom heavy or has a curvy figure.
